Citrus Heights officers shoot suspect allegedly armed with large knife, police say
CITRUS HEIGHTS – Officers have shot a suspect who was allegedly armed with a knife at a Citrus Heights shopping center late Monday morning.
The incident happened at the strip mall near Lichen Drive and Antelope Road.
Citrus Heights police say officers responded to investigate reports of a subject with a large knife.
Once at the scene, officers say they encountered the subject and shot him.
Police say the man was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
