Police: Barricaded Suspect In Citrus Heights Peacefully Resolved, No Crimes Were Committed

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — Officers responded to a subject who barricaded themselves after being contacted by police in Citrus Heights early Tuesday afternoon.

The incident was reported around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. By 4:20 p.m., police said the incident was peacefully resolved and there was no threat to the public.

According to a tweet, police were initially called out to a dispute with unknown circumstances, with a subject running into a residence near Rollingwood Boulevard and Oakberry Way.

Through their investigation, police say no crime occurred.

Citrus Heights police said the person went into his home after being contacted by officers. Initially, the police said he had outstanding warrants.

The incident is isolated, police say.

Police are urged people to avoid the area for the time being.
