CHP Officer Injured In Hit-And-Run Upgraded To Good Condition

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – California Highway Patrol says the officer who was allegedly run over intentionally by a motorist has been upgraded to good condition.

North Sacramento CHP says Officer Michael Ericson continues to recover.

Ericson was struck in a hit-and-run on Interstate 80 back on April 7. The incident left him in critical condition.

Tuesday, Ericson's condition was improved from serious to good.

The driver suspected of hitting Ericson, 28-year-old Austin Scott, is facing nine felony charges, including evading police and assault with a deadly weapon.
