CHP: Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Jackson Highway

SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) - A motorcycle rider was killed in a crash on Jackson Highway Tuesday night.

The scene is near Jackson Road and Hedge Avenue. California Highway Patrol says a motorcycle was speeding west on the Jackson Highway when it crashed into a truck making a left turn out of a business.

Witnesses told CHP that the motorcycle was going faster than the posted speed limit.

The motorcycle rider was killed in the crash. No information about the rider's identity, other than he was a man, has been released by CHP.

Jackson Highway will be closed in both directions until about 9:30 p.m. due to the crash.
