CHP Investigating Fatal Crash On I-5 Near Elk Grove

ELK GROVE (CBS13) – One lane on northbound Interstate 5 is blocked due to a deadly accident Thursday morning.

The scene is on the freeway, just before the Cosumnes River Boulevard exit.

A big rig and another vehicle were involved in the accident, which happened a little after 5 a.m. California Highway Patrol says at least one person has died in the crash.

The left lane of northbound I-5 is blocked due to the crash.
