CHP investigating deadly crash near French Camp on I-5
An early morning crash along southbound Interstate 5 in the Stockton area has left one person dead, authorities say.
The crash happened just before 4:30 a.m. near Roth Road in French Camp.
Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear, but it appears at least two vehicles were involved.
California Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash was fatal.
Traffic is backing up to south Stockton along I-5.
