CHP: Female Passenger Thrown From Motorcycle, Hit By 6 Vehicles In Suspected DUI Crash
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A woman was killed in a suspected DUI crash after she was thrown from a motorcycle on Monday, the California Highway Patrol said.
The woman was a passenger on a motorcycle that sideswiped a vehicle going northbound on Highway 99 near 47th Street. She was thrown from the motorcycle and hit by six other vehicles, the CHP reported.
The driver of the motorcycle sustained moderate injuries and is being investigated for possibly driving under the influence.
Tuesday, CHP identified the driver as 32-year-old Christopher Liby. CHP has not released the identity of the woman killed.
Liby will be arrested after being released from the hospital, CHP says.
