WATCH: CHP Air Ops Rescues Rock Climber Near Benson Hut
BENSON HUT (CBS13) — CHP and Cal Fire rescued a 51-year-old rock climber who fell and suffered moderate injuries near Benson Hut.
The CHP Helicopter responded to perform a "toe in" rescue. Crews then transported the hiker to the Sugar Bowl parking lot where he was treated by paramedics.
Yesterday afternoon a 51 y/o rock climber fell and suffered moderate injuries near Benson Hut. CHP Helicopter (H-24) responded with Calfire and performed a,"Toe In" rescue. The hiker was transported by H-24 to the Sugar Bowl parking lot where a Truckee Fire Protection District Paramedic continued treatment.
