Child Welfare Authorities Probe History Of Dad Suspected Of Stabbing 3 Sons To Death

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles child welfare authorities say they are investigating any and all past contact workers may have had with a father accused of stabbing his three sons to death.

LA County Department of Children and Family Services spokesman Armand Montiel says the agency is reviewing any past involvement the family may have had with the agency.

He declined to release any further details.

A furniture store owner found the boy's bodies in the back of an SUV early Wednesday morning. They have been identified as 8-year-old Alexander Fuentes, 9-year-old Juan Fuentes and 10-year-old Luis Fuentes.

Their father was found with a stab wound in the front passenger seat. Detectives believe he is the one who killed the boys and say there are no other suspects.
