Ceres Police Open Fire At Man Screaming, Swinging Golf Club

CERES (CBS13) – Officers opened fire on a man at Neel Park Thursday morning, police say.

According to the Ceres Police Department, officers were called to Helen Perry Road park around 9:15 a.m. after they got a report about a man causing a disturbance.

Police encountered the man and opened fire. Police report that the man was screaming and swinging a golf club.

No one was hurt in the incident, however. A nearby school was put on lockdown until the man was taken into custody, police say.
