Carmichael Dave: The MLS (officials) are Coming!!!

Its no longer a secret, Sacramento is hot to trot after the MLS.

The runaway success of the Republic, the meteoric rise of the franchise from cool little idea to colossus- pretty amazing. And now, just months removed from a nationally covered fight for the Sacramento Kings, the Capital City tries to build a winning streak by basically securing their second Major League sport in a very short span.

Two spots are available for expansion, and there are three teams in the running, with apologies to San Antonio and Las Vegas. Miami (which is led by David Beckham and WILL have one of the spots), Minneapolis, and Sacramento. With that said, MLS officials visit this Thursday and Friday, and the time spent will prove to be crucial to the MLS' decision making process.

Sacramentans understand things like this. By now, they are a well-oiled machine used to fighting for the sporting life of the city. That being said, here's are the things local fans can get involved in-
