Carjacking Suspect Leads High-Speed Pursuit On Interstate 80, Caught In Sacramento
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A suspected carjacker was arrested in Sacramento after a three-county pursuit.
Investigators say the suspect stole a car from a gas station at Watt Avenue and Auburn Boulevard as a man was pumping gas. From there, the suspect drove eastbound on Interstate 80 to Roseville, then turned back onto westbound Interstate 80.
During his run from the law, investigators say he was traveling as fast as 100 mph.
The pursuit then went through Dixon in Solano County, before weaving its way back eastbound on Interstate 80.
The suspect was eventually stopped and arrested near the 65th Street offramp on Highway 50.
