Car Slams Into Modesto Power Pole, Knocks Out Power To Street Lights

MODESTO (CBS13) - Lanes of a major road in Modesto were closed overnight as crews clean up and fix power lines that wre were knocked down in a crash.

Modesto police say a driver fell asleep at the wheel before 10:30 p.m. Monday and hit a power pole along McHenry Avenue near Fairmont Avenue.

Power was knocked out to nearby street lights. Homes nearby reportedly did not lose power
