Car catches fire on I-5 in Sacramento, blocks lane

SACRAMENTO – Authorities say everyone made it out safely after a car caught fire on Interstate 5 in Sacramento early Friday morning.

The scene was on the northbound side of the freeway near Arena Boulevard.

Exactly what led up to the car catching fire is unclear, but the vehicle ended up fully engulfed in flames.

Emergency crews blocked the right lane through the early morning hours.

No injuries were reported.

All lanes were back open by 2 a.m.
