7:00 p.m. UPDATE: The fire has grown to 200 acres, but containment is at 40 percent.

6:00 p.m. UPDATE: No injuries have been reported as the fire grows to 150 acres and stays at 10 percent containment.

4:40 p.m. UPDATE: The fire has since grown to 60 acres and is 10 percent contained.

AMADOR COUNTY (CBS13) — A 40-acre fire is prompting evacuations in Amador County.

Mandatory evacuations are in place for the China Gulch community, while voluntary evacuations are in place for Buena Vista.

The fire comes just before temperatures are expected to rise this weekend and into next week, raising the fire danger in the region.
