California State Senators' Calendars Show Meetings With Undercover FBI Agents

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - The appointment books of two disgraced state lawmakers appear to corroborate allegations that they met with undercover FBI agents at steakhouses and a lobbyist's office.

The California Senate released the calendars of former Democratic Sens. Ron Calderon and Leland Yee on Tuesday, providing a rare glimpse at politicians' lives.

A judge ruled that roughly 300 pages must be made public after the Bay Area News Group and the Los Angeles News Group sued. The calendars released are for specific dates from 2011 to 2014.

The documents show Calderon scheduled meetings at Los Angeles-area steakhouses, including with an FBI agent posing as a film executive.

Yee scheduled two meetings with an undercover agent at a lobbyist's office.

Both men have pleaded not guilty to separate federal corruption charges.
