California State Fair Ends With Reported Violence For Second Time In Three Years

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Cal Expo Police are investigating a reported stabbing from the final day of the California State Fair, and they've made an arrest for a loaded handgun found in a car.

Both incidents may be tied to videos showing a chaotic scene and violence inside the Cal Expo gates on Sunday.

Carmen Garcia was at the fairgrounds on Sunday, recording the chaos by the neon lights of the State Fair.

"It's supposed to be a place for families and kids to have fun and enjoy it while its here," she said.

Cal Expo refused to talk on camera about the videos, instead releasing a statement saying they are investigating three incidents at the fairgrounds from that night, including a reported stabbing.

It's not the first violent end to the State Fair. Cellphone video from the last day of the 2013 fair shows another melee stopped by police.
