California Highway Patrol Releases Website For Super Bowl Traffic Information
With all the Super Bowl events being hosted by "Super Communities," including the big game itself, the Bay area is preparing for a heightened amount of traffic from vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians on foot.
In an effort to keep the streets as safe as possible for tourists and Super Bowl goers, the California Highway Patrol teamed up with the California Department of Transportation to create a Super Bowl 50 traffic information website which provides users with everything from traffic advisories and road closures, to public transportation information and emergency resources.
The site, www.superbowl50traffic.com, also includes CHP's live Facebook and Twitter feeds which highlight "activity and traffic alerts in and around the various Super Bowl venues."
"Working with our traffic safety partners, we have created a user-friendly, online tool to help the public navigate the influx of traffic leading up to and through the big game," said CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow. "The crowds are coming, but with a little preparation and a lot of patience behind the wheel, we will all get to our destinations safely."
