California Department Of Education Investigating Inappropriate Email

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The California Department of Education says it's looking into inappropriate emails sent by one of its staffers.

A copy of one of the alleged emails was sent to CBS13 on Tuesday.

The email appears to respond to a press release from a group concerned about food and housing at community colleges.

It was a short reply: "Go f--- yourself"

The department released a statement saying, "The California Department of Education has been made aware that a CDE employee has been allegedly sending out inappropriate emails. We are investigating and taking immediate action. These emails in no way reflect the views of the California Department of Education. We expect CDE employees to conduct themselves with the highest professional standards."
