California Assembly Considers Ways To Boost Election Turnout
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — State lawmakers have announced changes to increase voter turnout after a lackluster 2014 election.
Assembly Bill 1461 would change the way Californians vote by mailing a ballot to every voter, expanding early voting, and allowing a voter to cast a ballot at any polling place instead of their usual polling location.
The secretary of state's office says voter turnout was just shy of 31 percent November's general election.
