Calif. Man Accused Of Posing As 'Twilight' Actor Facing Federal Child Pornography Charges

NEWTON, Iowa (AP) - A Californian man accused of posing as an actor from the "Twilight" movie series now faces federal child pornography charges.

Thirty-three-year-old David LaVera is expected in federal court in Des Moines on Tuesday to face charges of sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child pornography. Jasper County Sheriff John Halferty says LaVera has been turned over to U.S. marshals.

LaVera, of San Diego, already has pleaded not guilty to Iowa charges of sexual abuse, sexual exploitation of a minor, enticing a minor, carrying weapons and failure to have a valid driver's license.
