Busy Night For Roseville Firefighters: Fires At 2 Restaurants

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – It was a busy night for firefighters in Roseville, who had to battle flames at two restaurants in the city.

The first fire happened just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Red Robin on Galleria Boulevard. The fire went to two-alarms but firefighters were able to get a handle on the flames. No one was injuried and the cause is still under investigation.

Then, just before 1:30 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the Rubios on Douglas Boulevard due to a motion alarm and found flames coming from the restaurant.

Firefighters were called to the scene and the fire also went to two-alarms.

Crews began their attack from the front to the inside, but had to pull out quickly because the flames got too intense.

Ladder trucks were then used to get a handle on the flames.

However, a manager at Rubios said that the restaurant is a total loss. The 23 employees of the restaurant will be relocated to other stores in the region, the manager said.

Crews are investigating what exactly caused the fire.
