Bulge Found In Man's Underwear At Border Was Fentanyl Pills Disguised As Oxycodone

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Tests reveal the oxycodone pills on a man was arrested at the border turned out to be Fentanyl under further testing.

Federal investigators say the Feb. 10 seizure is believed to be the first of its kind. The man attempted to enter the country at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry as a pedestrian, but was stopped because of an unusual bulge in his underwear.

Border agents found more than 1,000 tablets of Fentanyl labeled as oxycodone.

The case is significant because of nearly a dozen deadly overdoses in the Sacramento area believed to be tied to the more powerful Fentanyl disguised as other less powerful narcotics.
