Brock Lesnar to Face Mark Hunt at UFC 200

UFC and WWE fans can now rejoice. UFC 200 now has a co-main event that will mark the return of former Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar, 38 (5-3).

Lesnar hasn't entered the octagon since 2011. He left the sport of MMA after being diagnosed with diverticulitis, a digestive disease which Lesnar credits as his reason of going 1-2 in his last 3 fights.

In an recent Sports Center interview, Lesnar was asked what made him want to return to the UFC, and he responded:

"It haunted me, because at the top of my career, I wasn't at the top of my game. So I feel like I was cheated out of my career in the UFC. In my mind and in my heart, I didn't lose to a foe. I never lost to my opponent. I lost to my diverticulitis. That was the opponent that beat me."

Lesnar's return to the octagon is a huge boost for UFC 200. Weighing in at 265 lbs of pure muscle, Lesnar has the size advantage against most of the Heavyweight division. One of the few men that can match him in size is his opponent, Mark Hunt, 42 (12-10-1).

The "Super Samoan" also weighs in at a massive 265 lbs, is currently ranked #8 in the UFC, and is riding a 2-fight win streak over Antonio Silva and Frank Mir.

Why was Hunt chosen as his next opponent?

"Why not? It could be anybody. I didn't care, that's how simple it is" Lesnar said, "I've never walked away, I'm not that guy. Even when I was the champ, I never turn down a fight and even when I was fighting to be the champ I never turned down a fight."

With UFC 200 taking place on July 9th, Lesnar and Hunt have just over a month to prepare for the fight, so it will be very interesting to see how it goes down.
