3-Alarm Commercial Fire In East Stockton Impacted 2 Businesses
STOCKTON (CBS13) — Stockton Fire tackled a three-alarm fire at 1580 Report Avenue in East Stockton Thursday afternoon that ripped through a warehouse
Firefighters said the warehouse contains multiple businesses and two of the businesses were impacted by the blaze. According to Stockton Fire, the call originally came in as a report of a roof fire around 4 p.m. When crews arrived they found moderate smoke and fire conditions.
The large plume of smoke could be seen from miles away. When the crews went inside they said they found heavy fire conditions. Firefighters established a collapse zone in the structure as multiple walls started going down inside.
Firefighters said a protection barrier prevented the flames from spreading into other businesses in the building.
Around 40 firefighters, eight engines, three trucks, and two battalion chiefs responded to the fire. No injuries have been reported.
One of the business owners of an aquarium supply store said she had just gotten home when her husband was called about the fire.
Caltrans warned of traffic delays Thursday afternoon due to drivers slowing down to look at the fire.
