Boy Plunges 200 Feet To His Death Off Cliff Edge

HURRICANE, Utah (AP) - Police in southern Utah say a 15-year-old boy has died after slipping on a hike and falling 200 feet in the city of Hurricane.

Sgt. Brandon Buell with the Hurricane police says Pierce Adamson was hiking with another family member Sunday night and was standing on the edge of a cliff overlooking town.

Buell says the rocks gave way and Adamson fell into a rugged, rocky area below.

Buell says there's no indication anything suspicious occurred with the death but law enforcement will investigate.
