Body Found In American River
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Rescue crews have found a body in the American River at the start of Memorial Day weekend.
A rescue crew found the body after 3 p.m. on Friday near where a possible drowning was reported by a park ranger at the Howe Avenue boat ramp.

After four years of drought, Sacramento waterways are running higher than in years passed. Ahead of the busy weekend, officials are warning people to be safe on the waterways.
Also, there is a temporary alcohol ban on the waterways there is no tolerance for alcohol on the American River. The temporary ban covers consumption and open containers for boaters and people on the waterways.
