Board Of Equalization Building Springs Leak During Recent Rain

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The troubled Board of Equalization building has sprung a new leak after recent rains were apparently too much.

Leaks were found on the 10th and 22nd floors of the tower on N Street.

Both floors have had troubles before ranging from mold and other pipe leaks to concerns about bad odors and toxic chemicals in the tiles.

"It's one of many and there are likely to be more to come," said spokeswoman Venus Stromberg. "All of our employees are board members, they are anxious to get out of the building but at this point, we're hanging tight til it's fixed."

Employees have been asked to keep an eye out for more leaks or other concerns and to report water damage to their supervisors.
