Blue Jays To Acquire David Price

Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com tweeted that the Toronto Blue Jays and Detroit Tigers have agreed to trade All-Star starting pitcher David Price for prospects Daniel Norris and other pieces to be announced later.

After the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees were pushing hard to acquire the former Cy Young lefty, the Blue Jays add another solid piece to their already strong lineup. They traded for Troy Tulowitzki earlier this week from the Colorado Rockies for Jose Reyes.

Price is fifth in the American League in ERA with 2.53 and has a career ERA of 3.13 spanning over eight years with the Tampa Bay Rays and Tigers. He is set to become a free agent after this season.
