Big Rig Knocks Down Power Pole In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - SMUD crews in Sacramento are working to replace a pole sheared off by a big rig this morning.

The crash happened on Elder Creek Road near Power Inn Road near the Sacramento Army Depot. The truck hit one pole and hit another one, nearly knocking it down.

Crews cut off part of the pole that was hanging by its wires.

The second power pole helped stop the truck.

The driver of the big rig was not hurt.
