1 Dead After Big Rig Crashes Off Freeway In Turlock
TURLOCK (CBS13) - Authorities are investigating a fatal crash off of Highway 99 in the Turlock area Thursday morning.
The scene is near Linwood and Lander Avenues.
California Highway Patrol got a report just before 10 a.m. that a semi truck came off the freeway and crashed into an apartment complex.

At the scene, officers found that the truck smashed through a wall and crashed into the apartment's parking lot, hitting a white pickup.
The truck came within feet of hitting the apartment building.
One person has died in the crash, California Highway Patrol says.
The principal and a custodian from Cunningham Elementary School - which is near the scene - went over to help, a school official says. The school is not affected by the crash and was never on lockdown.
