Big Money Poured Into Oak Park For Revitalization

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The community of Oak Park will look a lot different in the months to come.

Thursday, the community celebrated a ground breaking and kick-off of multiple projects to benefit Oak Park.

The ground breaking project is part of a $278,000 urban lift grant initiative by Wells Fargo Bank.

The project involves acquiring eight single family homes, rehabilitating them and then selling them to working families. Also, three to five bike racks at various locations in Oak Park will be installed.

The new project will be within a 1-mile radius of the Oak Park Community Center.

So far, more than twenty homes have either been built or remodeled in Oak Park in the last five years.
