Bicyclist Struck By Light Rail Train In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after being struck by a light rail train in Sacramento Wednesday morning.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. near Stockton Boulevard and 34th Street.

It's unclear what led up to the bicyclist being struck, but Sacramento Regional Transit officials say the train was headed towards the Sunrise area. The train was stopped until about 8:20 a.m. due to the incident.

There has been no word on the condition of the bicyclist.
