VIDEO: Captured Bear Released Back Into Wild

COLUMBIA FALLS, Mont. (CBS13) - Wildlife officials captured the moment when a bear was released back into the wild.

The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife & Parks says a three-year-old grizzly bear was captured after north of Columbia Falls recently. Authorities say the bear had been killing some chickens.

The 211-pound bear was released back into the wild near the North Fork of Flathead drainage on April 11.

Video posted to the department's Facebook page shows the moment the bear was set free. As of Tuesday, the video has been seen more than 232,000 times.

Wildlife officials say bears in the area are moving to lower elevations as they emerge from their dens to get away from the snow.
