Awesome Curry Bobblehead, Warriors Open Preseason In San Jose

The Golden State Warriors begin to defend their NBA title on Oct. 5, but not at Oracle Arena like some would think.

Instead, the team will head south to the home of the San Jose Sharks (and now also the San Jose Barracudas, the Sharks AHL affiliate hockey team) to the SAP Center, or the more commonly known "Shark Tank". This is the first time this has happened since the year 2000 when the Warriors played a few preseason games in the Silicon Valley.

Formerly known as the HP Pavilion, the SAP Center once housed the Warriors for an entire season in 1996-97 while Oracle Arena underwent renovations. For reference sake, the Warriors went 30-52 that year (18-23 at home).

Not only is the first preseason game a way of saying "thank you" to the South Bay fans, the home of a large portion of Warriors season-ticket holders, but the first 10,000 fans will receive a Stephen Curry/Sharks bobblehead. This is the first time I have seen a cross-sport bobblehead between these two teams, but I can guarantee they will run out of these in a heartbeat.
