Woman Taken To Hospital After Shooting In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Officers are investigating a shooting that has sent one person to the hospital late Sunday night.

The scene was on Avocet Court, off Garden Highway.

Sacramento police say officers responded around 9:30 p.m. and found that a woman had been shot at least one time. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators later said they determined the shooting to be an apparent tragic accident. No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.
