Attendant On Flight From Sacramento Deploys Evacuation Slide

HOUSTON (CBS13) - A flight attendant reportedly deployed an evacuation slide after a flight from Sacramento to Houston on Monday.

United Airlines tells CBS News that shortly after arriving at the gate at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Flight 1246 from Sacramento had its evacuation slide deployed. The airlines believes it was done deliberately by a flight attendant.

The flight attendant has since been removed from their flying duties. United is currently reviewing the incident, noting that they view this as "unacceptable and unsafe behavior."

United says the plane was briefly taken out of service to be refitted with another slide. The plane is now back in service
