A's Trade Pitcher Jesse Chavez To Blue Jays

With the 2015 season over with, the offseason begins for the Oakland A's as Billy Beane yet again gets active in the trade market. According to Ken Rosenthal, starting pitcher Jesse Chavez has been shipped to Toronto for Liam Hendricks.

Chavez, 32, spent the last three years in and out of the A's starting rotation. His 7-15 record and 4.18 ERA was the worst of the rotation and last year was only his second full season as a starter in the big leagues.

Hendricks, 26, is a right-handed australian who appeared in 58 games in relief last season for Toronto. He posted a 5-0 record to go along with an impressive 2.92 ERA, plus 71 strikeouts in 64.1 innings.
