Armed Northern California Man Arrested Outside Of Disneyland Gates

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Anaheim police say an armed man was arrested last month outside the gates of Disneyland.

Lt. Eric Trapp said Wednesday that park visitors alerted security officers about a man with a possible gun on July 9 in the esplanade area between Disneyland and California Adventure.

Police were called and Percival Aguilar Agoncillo was taken into custody on suspicion of possessing a loaded weapon without a permit.

Officials say a post-arrest background check found that the 44-year-old San Francisco resident was on probation in San Mateo County for carrying a loaded gun.

Agoncillo was booked and released after posting $20,000 bail.

A telephone listing for Agoncillo could not be located Wednesday. Disneyland referred inquiries to police.

Agoncillo is due in Orange County court for arraignment Aug. 27.
