Arco Abandons Sacramento Kings, Instead Chooses To Root For Los Angeles Clippers

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Ahead of the Sacramento Kings' final season at Sleep Train Arena, an old flame is feeling spiteful.
No, it's not Power Balance—is that still a thing? It's Arco.
The company posted a picture of a tipped over king chess piece with the message "Go Clippers! Usurp Sacramento!"
A tipped over king is a sign of resignation when a player knows the end of a chess match is near.
The Kings responded to their jilted former naming suitor, saying "We still love you ... #SacramentoProud."
Arco held the naming rights to the home of the Sacramento Kings until 2011, when the team switched over to Power Balance, a company known for its wristbands whose effectiveness was called into question as the company filed for bankruptcy. That opened the door for Sleep Train to take over the naming rights in 2012.
Wednesday's home opener will be final home opener in "Sleepoweco Arena" as no one calls it. Next season, the team moves into a new Downtown venue called the Golden 1 Center.
