Amgen Tour Of California To Swing By Several Valley Cities In 2017

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Several area cities act as hosts for next year's Amgen Tour of California, officials announced on Wednesday.

The 2017 men's competition will begin in Sacramento on May 14. The women's race will begin on May 11 in South Lake Tahoe.

Elk Grove will get to host the third state of the women's competition on May 13. It's the first time the city has been chosen to host.

Modesto will host the second stage of the men's race on May 15.

The 600-mile bicycle race will end in Pasadena on May 20.
