5 Must-Watch College Football Games This Weekend

After a crazy week 6 in college football in which we saw 11 of the Top 25 ranked teams lose, week 7 is also poised to burst a lot of playoff hopes for many teams. While there are a lot of big matchups this weekend, here are the top five must watch games and why.

1. No. 2 Auburn @ No. 3 Mississippi State

Auburn dismantled LSU 41-7 last weekend and is looking to move to 6-0. Mississippi State is coming off a huge and I mean huge win over Texas A&M and currently finds themselves tied for 3rd ranked in the country along with state rival Ole Miss. The two teams are currently in a three-way tie for first place in the SEC West so a lot is at stake in this game.

2. No. 3 Ole Miss @ No. 14 Texas A&M

Ole Miss is riding high after beating No. 3 ranked Alabama last weekend and look to continue their unbeaten streak. The Rebels allow just 10.2 points per game which is 2nd best in the nation. Texas A&M is looking to recover from a loss to Mississippi State and are hoping they can survive another Mississippi team and not fall to 2-2 in conference play.

3. No. 9 TCU @ No. 5 Baylor

In a battle for the state of Texas, the TCU Horned Frogs and the Baylor Bears are squaring off in what should be an epic showdown. TCU beat No. 4 Oklahoma last week and Baylor beat Texas meaning both teams are undefeated coming into this game. The Bears have yet to be tested as they have won all their games pretty convincingly while TCU is coming off a big win over Oklahoma. The battle for Texas is up for grabs.

4. No. 12 Oregon @ No. 18 UCLA

Oregon lost at home to Arizona last Thursday which started the chaos we now know as week 6. UCLA lost to Utah, yes Utah, at home by two which dropped them 10 spots in the rankings. Both teams need a W to keep their playoff hopes alive. This is a Pac-12 showdown for the ages.

5. No. 13 Georgia @ No. 23 Missouri

No Todd Gurley? Gurley was suspended indefinitely yesterday after a reported NCAA violation. That's a big blow to Georgia who ranks 6th overall in points scored and has 8 TD this season. Freshman Nick Chubb will take over in the absence of Gurley and Missouri will look to capitalize on this and send the Bulldogs home with a loss.
