Police Arrest Fourth Suspect In Connection With Stockton Bank Robbery, Chase And Shootout

STOCKTON (CBS13) - Stockton police have arrested a fourth suspect in connection with a robbery, chase and shootout in July that left three people dead.

Twenty-one-year-old Pablo Ruvalcaba was arrested Saturday morning on one count of murder and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail, records indicate. Stockton Police Department spokesman Officer Joe Silva Officer confirmed to CBS13 his arrest is connected to the incident.

The botched heist of a Stockton Bank of the West on July 16 left three people dead. One person who was killed was a kidnapping victim and the two others were suspects.

Ruvalcaba is suspected of driving a black four-door sedan that was allegedly used to drop the suspects off at the bank.

In July, Police investigators had questioned Ruvalcaba as a person of interest in the incident. After he was questioned, Ruvalcaba was released.

The third suspect, Jaime Ramos, 19, allegedly used the victim as a human shield, and has been charged with murder.

Both men appeared in San Joaquin County Superior Court today.
