3 People Arrested In Connection With Murder Of El Dorado County Man

PLACERVILLE (CBS13) - Three people have been arrested for the murder of an El Dorado County man who was found dead earlier in February.

On the evening of February 3, police found the body of 55-year-old Pete Thomas inside of a home in the 3200 block of Sand Ridge Road in unincorporated Placerville. Detectives and crime scene investigators examined the scene and circumstances of Thomas' death and determined it was a homicide, said El Dorado County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Lt. Tom Murdoch.

During their investigation, police served 17 search warrants, and on Wednesday arrested 31-year-old Nala Omega and 22-year-old Rual Gonzalez at a home on Greenwing Lane in Placerville. They also arrested 18-year-old Roberto Barrera while at his job in a Placerville grocery store.

Murdoch says Gonzales and Barrera are validated members of the Sureños gang.

All four suspects will be arraigned Friday in El Dorado County.
