4 Children Hurt As Car Plows Into Store On Halloween

SAN DIMAS, California (AP) -- Four children have been injured after a driver crashed through a store crowded with Holiday shoppers in a Los Angeles suburb on Halloween.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says a Mercedes-Benz driven by a 35-year-old woman jumped a sidewalk and crashed through a glass window into a Party City store in San Dimas shortly after noon Saturday.

Witnesses tell KABC-TV that the store was packed and the collision sent metal debris and other items flying.

A 14-year-old girl suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital. Three other children were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash and the driver wasn't immediately arrested.
