3 Transported After Car Crashes Into Tree In West Sacramento

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Three people are being taken to the hospital after a car crash in West Sacramento Thursday morning.
The scene is near Harbor Boulevard and Riverbank Road.
A car apparently lost control and ran into a tree near the levee.
The incident was so close to the CBS13 studios that some of our employees heard the crash. One employee even rushed to help the people trapped inside just as first responders were starting to arrive.
"We really don't have a lot of accidents out here," said Sgt. Roger Kinney with the West Sacramento Police Department.
Police say they believe the car lost control due to joyriding at excessive speed.
