3 Rescued From Boat Taking On Water In Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (CBS13) - The Coast Guard says three people were rescued from a sinking boat on Lake Tahoe Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened on the south shore near the California and Nevada border.

Crews from the Coast Guard's Lake Tahoe station and the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office responded and found that a 25-foot boat was taking on water. The boat's operator managed to secure the engine, stopping more water from coming in.

The three people on board the boat were rescued. A Good Samaritan in another boat, the Sundance, helped tow the once-sinking boat back to the Tahoe Key Marina.

No one was injured in the incident.
