24 Injured By Turbulence On Sacramento-Bound Jet Blue Flight

RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA (CBS13) — A Sacramento-bound plane had to make an unexpected landing after 22 passengers were injured by turbulence.

The Jet Blue flight from Boston to Sacramento arrived safely in South Dakota at around 7:30 p.m. central, or 5:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

The airline says 22 passengers and two crew members were transported to the hospital for evaluation.

"I was just using my computer, and literally it flew up-- I flew up in the air, and my computer flew up in the air and somehow I caught it," said passenger Charlie Judkins.

The remaining passengers are expected to be flown in on a replacement aircraft.
