2 Teens Killed In Hayward Car Crash

HAYWARD, Calif. (AP) - Police are investigating after a car crash in Northern California killed two teenagers and injured a third.

Officials at Union City's James Logan High School say two students died early Sunday morning after their car crashed on Interstate 880 in Hayward. A third student survived the crash.

California Highway Patrol Officer Damian Cistaro told the San Francisco Chronicle that police are still investigating the crash.

The 17-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene and a 16-year-old passenger died later at Eden Medical Center. Cistaro says four other people were taken to the hospital with what are believed to be minor injuries.
