2-story apartment building catches fire on West El Camino in south Natomas

Multiple units uninhabitable after fire at south Natomas apartment complex

SACRAMENTO — Sacramento firefighters knocked down a fire at a two-story apartment building in the south Natomas area late Wednesday afternoon.

The scene was at the Woodlands Apartments along West El Camino near Bannon Creek Park and Azevedo Drive. The Sacramento Fire Department said at least four units were uninhabitable after the fire. Other units on the bottom floor sustained water damage.

No one was injured as nobody was home at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire, which started shortly before 4:15 p.m., is unknown at this time.
